How we write and check what we publish
Every guide, template and list on collaboratorsapp.com should help someone do a real task better than the pages they would otherwise find. This page explains how we try to make sure it does.
What we publish
We publish content that supports the free tools on this site: guides on running meetings and working in teams, templates you can copy, lists of ideas such as icebreaker questions, and reference pages with computed data. We do not publish a page just to target a search term. If a page would not give a reader something useful that they cannot already get from the top results, we do not publish it.
How content is made
- Brief first. Each page starts with the question a reader is asking, what existing pages leave out, and which tool it connects to.
- Drafting. Some drafts are prepared with the help of AI tools.
- Human edit. A person edits and checks every page before it is published. Drafts are never published as they come out of a tool.
- Automatic checks. Before anything goes live, the site is built and checked automatically for minimum length, near-duplicate text, a named author and dates, broken links, accessibility basics and our content rules.
Facts, numbers and sources
We do not invent statistics, studies, users, reviews or testimonials. When a page states a figure, it is either computed on the page (for example a meeting cost from the numbers you enter) or attributed to a source we name. Where something is advice or experience rather than a measured fact, we say so.
Dates and updates
Every article shows the date it was first published and, if it has changed in a meaningful way, the date it was last updated. The same dates appear in the page's structured data and in our sitemap. We do not change a date to make a page look newer when nothing of substance has changed.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, tell us. We correct factual errors as soon as we can confirm them, and update the date on the page when we do.
Independence from advertising
The site is paid for by ads, but advertising does not decide what we write. Ads sit between sections of reading content, are always labelled, and never appear inside a tool. We do not accept payment to feature products in guides, and we do not publish sponsored content.
Safe for work and school
Icebreaker questions and activities are written for workplaces and classrooms. We keep them away from health, money troubles, religion, politics and relationships.
