How to convert 1000 military time to standard time
1000 reads the same on both clocks: 10:00 AM. There is no leading zero to take off and nothing to subtract, because 1000 and 1100 are the two hours of the morning that already have two digits. All you add is AM. From 10:00 AM back to military time, drop the AM and the colon and you have 1000.
How to say 1000
1000 is said "ten hundred". The hour is read as "ten" and the 00 minutes become "hundred", which is why on-the-hour times sound like round numbers. You will hear "ten hundred hours" too; the word is common in speech, though Army correspondence rules (AR 25-50, paragraph 1-26) leave it out in writing.

Questions people ask
What time is 1000 in military time?
